Filling the tank up

Teleporting outside the cafeteria, Josh yawned looking at the cafeteria then turned around to see a small crack on the wall behind him. He sighed a little thinking that he shouldn't have teleported so hard getting here. When opening the doors he could get strong smell of bacon then eggs, some toast and finally sweetness of cereal. Josh thought he had strong sense of smell but later he found out that it was just him stomach wanting food. Spending thirty percent of his time here the cafeteria ladies have started to know Josh which is good when your the first one there. Lifting a tray and heading to the food, one of the ladies stopped and smiled at him "good Morning Josh, always good to see your face in here", Josh looked at her with a tired face and some bread in his mouth.

"Nice to see you too" said Josh getting seven strips of bacon on his plate smiling, "Eh Josh you need calm down there on the bacon, leave some for the other students and also you shouldn't eat so much of that, could be bad for you" the lady just smiled at him then walked away. As he moved to the cereal he was in shock "LUCKY CHARMS AWWWW". Josh had not seen this cereal in ages or might not have even noticed it. Taking two bowls Josh filled them with the cereal to the brim, then finally filled his glass of orange juice. Josh turned around slowly his his tray and looked at table far away near a window then he looked at his tray of food. Gulping knowing that the last time he tried this he stood there while his tray was flying towards a wall and everything was a mess. Slow and steady he walked towards his table knowing he needed to practice.

Finally reaching his table he sat down and began to eat, smiling as the bacon touched his tongue. He didn't swallow he just kept putting more food in his mouth. Now his mouth was full of bacon, lucky charms and oj. Chewing slowly he felt like it was an imposable mission to do but finally he began to swallow, slowly but surely he was getting there. Josh finally chewed on the last bit of bacon then swallowed to take gasp of air and leaned back in his chair "oh that is some good food"

-- Rhapsody was starving. She had spent the day at the beach, just thinking and doing whatever it was she felt like doing at the moment. It was all spur of the moment, so she hadn't though to pack a lunch or anything. Today was a great day; it was beautiful and warm and just all around amazing. She said hi to a few of her classmates as she ventured to the cafeteria. She thought about what she wanted to eat, and had a feeling she would find someone new, and just as wonderful as her day to sit with.

-- She entered the large room filled with students. Rhapsody wondered if the room was ever completely empty. Even in the earliest hours of the morning, students were probably in here getting snack or something from staying up all night "studying." She moved through the line, pondering her choices. Rhapsody grabbed a strawberry banana flavored yogurt, a bottled water, and a ham sandwich. Her bright eyes scanned the room, and landed on a boy she had seen only a couple other times sitting alone near a window.

-- Her long, slender legs carried her over to the table where the boy was sitting. "Hope you don't mind if I join you." Rhapsody said grinning as she took a spot opposite him. It looked as if he had just got done eating. "I'm Rhapsody." She introduced herself politely as she opened her yogurt and took a small spoonful. Then she carefully unwrapped her sandwich and took a bit of it was well. It was so good to finally eat something.

As Josh was slouched in his chair letting his food move through his stomach a girl came up to his desk asking to sit with him. Being at this school for years, not once did a girl come up to him, ether he was the one going up to them or they were shy. She said her name was Rhapsody and with a shy confused look on Josh's face he slowly moved up in his chair knowing full well it was a bad idea to do so. "Sure go ahead, you did not need to ask my permission" said Josh with a smile and put out his hand quickly trying not to be nervous. "I am Joshua but I just get called Josh, very nice to meet you", she was beautiful, small with brown hair that came down to her shoulders. This girl seemed to be one where she didn't understand how beautiful she was, Josh couldn't stop staring. Maybe because he spent most of his time travelling around the world rather than spending most of his time with people.

Josh began to eat his food again looking out the window trying to focus on something else. Was rude to stare when someone eatting. The urge to teleport was becoming high, he didn't know what to do or to say. Why was this girl making him nervous and shy. He could talk to anyone and flirt with any girl and not blush, become shy or nervous but this girl seemed to have that effect on him. Quickly he tried to think of a topic they could talk on and it hit him "So if your here then what is your power and it better be awesome" Josh letting out a soft laugh "you also got to show it".

-- A wide grin spread across her face as the boy told her she could sit down. Rhapsody extended a delicate, pale hand and shook his hand firmly. "Nice to meet you Josh." Her eyes studies his face for a brief moment. He was very handsome, one of the better looking boys on campus. Rhapsody had a feeling he was very nice and polite. Which of course was true. Her intuition never let her down. Rhapsody noticed his beautiful eyes, which hadn't left her face since she sat down. She really hoped she didn't have something on her face, so she carefully dabbed at her mouth with a napkin.

-- Rhapsody took another small nibble of her sandwich. It wasn't that she didn't like eating in front of people, because she was known to eat in record times, it's just that she really wanted to talk and get to know Josh. It wasn't very often she met someone completely new. And he seemed older, senior probably. How sad that she didn't even know someone in her own grade! He gazed out the window as he started eating again. Rhapsody peered down at her tray, shyly, until he asked her a question. Her face lit up at the topic. "I can manipulate the earth." Rhapsody stated proudly. "It's kind of hard to do too much when I'm indoors, but here, look out the window." She also turned to look out the window. She concentrated on moving the earth, and a small hill formed, then turned into a spiral pattern, reaching higher into the sky, creating a sculpture out of the earth.

-- "That's my power. I can also make things grow and pretty much manipulate anything that has to do with the Earth. If you've ever seen Avatar: The last Air bender. I'm like an Earth bender." Rhapsody said giggling. "What about you?" Rhapsody asked happily. She always loved hearing about other student's powers. It was always exciting to her to learn about different powers, some she had never heard of before. There was always something so cool and exciting. Rhapsody could tell Josh had a cool power and she couldn't wait to find out what it was.

The look on her eyes as she waited to see what Josh's power was made him grin just a little, turning around slowly he disappeared into thin air and reappeared over at the cutlery as he grabbed a knife he reappeared to Rhapsody. With a smile on his holding out the knife to her. "I can teleport" said Josh putting the knife on the table and sitting on a chair across the table. "My father calls me a jumper, which to me makes me laugh a bit. Saves them money going anywhere and I don't need to drive" laughed Josh "So what made you come over here anyways, not to sound rude or sound like an ass but there are many other tables to pick from why this one".

Why did she pick this one, there where other ones with people at them. Maybe there her friends and there are empty ones. Josh wasn't complaining, Rhapsody is an outstanding girl and beautiful but still, Josh is no good looking guy no matter what the girls say. Looking at his plate he grabbed his last slice of bacon with a sad look on his face "The last slice of bacon for the day" Josh sighed as he ate it slowly like it was the last piece on earth "it is so mmmmm, good". Slowly looking at Rhapsody he smiled "sorry I have this thing about bacon, also is there any enemy's or lame terms 'Bad Guy's" Josh smiled as he said it licking his fingers.
