The coolest thing about Ashburn, in Brandon's not so humble opinion, was not the power control classes, or the hi tech security rooms that served as their detention classrooms, but their massive music wing, which boasted several band and chorus rooms meant for different levels of music classes, along with jazz band and steel drums sets.
It also boasted several rooms for individual practice, where one could play alone or with a friend or two or more, which is where the young man was today on this lovely Sunday afternoon.
Brandon usually played in jazz bands when the extracurricular was offered. He enjoyed the lower buzzing sound of a jazzed up tenor or bari sax rather than the higher tones of an alto or a soprano. In fact, he was rather pleased to own his own Baritone Saxophone, which was in his hand.
He was a fairly good player, a mixture of both a small talent in music and a large amount of practice over the course of summer and winter breaks for about 4 or 5 years.
Sure, he wasn't a professional symphony player, but he was pretty awesome in his own right.
Right now, he was playing a version of Santa Claus is comin to town. His favorite, actually. The one played by Bruce Springsteen with the funnest sax solo he had ever played.
"Ah, Clarence. I do love your solo work."
He laughed as he finished, his laugh quieted by the acoustics of the room he was in. Brandon left the door open. After all, there had been times where people had stopped and listened to his playing and even times where people had come out of nowhere to play along with him. Brandon always left the door open.
After all, who knows what would happen?
Hell, he could even meet Miley Cyrus.
(OOC: This is not so much as a reference to your character as it is to Dave Days of youtube fame. If you don't know him, look him up. His songs are hilariously fun.)
